Sheelan Cup: Three wins from three played in this competition and into the quarter finals. We played the county senior champions last Sunday in the Grove in terrible conditions, even the ducks wouldn’t go out in that downpour. The lads played great and deserved the win scoring three goals and kept going until the final whistle in very heavy conditions. It’s a great start to the season and we had well over twenty players again on Sunday and that with a few out through injury, great to see and long may it continue.

Bingo: Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 6th March at 8.00pm, jackpot €2,300 in 48 numbers.

 

Louth: Congratulations to O’Connells club man Malcolm McDonnell who has been named Louth Junior manager for the 2019 season and also to Alan Brennan who is on his team as a selector. Congratulations also to our former player John Flanagan who is a selector on the Louth U20 management team. A lot of O’Connells men with high profile jobs in the county, we must be doing something right around the Grove?

Social Dancing: There will be social dancing on Saturday 16th March in our clubrooms from 9.00pm, music by Unity, admission €10 and refreshments will be served.

 

Cúl Camp: The O’Connells cúl camp for 2019 will be on from 15/7/19 to 19/7/19 and online booking is now open as from 1st March on www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie
