Louth: Congratulations to O’Connells clubman Wayne Kierans on his appointment as Louth Senior
Football team manager. A great day for Wayne and his family and also a great day for our club to
have a former player and selector as the county senior team manager. We wish Wayne the very best
of luck.
Manager: Our manager Paul Gallagher has stepped down from his post. The club would like to
thank Paul for his commitment this season and the work he put in with our senior team. We wish
him well and all the best in future endeavours.
New Manager: O‘Connells GFC are now in the process of looking for a new manager, anyone
interested or know of anyone interested can get in contact with our secretary 087-2841895,

member.
Final: Congratulations to O’Connells clubman Jonathon Wiggy Conlon who has been appointed
referee for the county senior final between Naomh Mairtin and Newtown Blues on the 21 st October in
Drogheda.
Bingo: Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 10 th October at 8.00pm, jackpot
€6,200 in 48 numbers.
Grove: Best of luck to both St. Mochtas and St. Fechins in the intermediate final this Sunday in the
Grove throw in 3.30pm and also to Cooley Kickhams and St. Mochtas/St. Josephs in the under 16
championship final at 1-30.
Draws: The 2018 inter-county season is not long ended but thoughts are turning to next year. The
draw for the 2019 provincial senior football and hurling championships will take place on Thursday
11 th October and will be live on RTE.
Social Dancing: There will social dancing in our clubroom on Saturday 20 th October from 9.00pm,
music by Images, admission €10 and refreshments will be served.
Slimming World: Slimming World will be in our clubrooms every Monday from 7.00pm with
consultant Debbie 087-2501622.
