The late Liam McGann The death occurred on April 21st 2007 of William (Liam) McGann, Clontarf, formerly of Ballymahon following an illness bore with great dignity. Liam's remains were brought home to St Matthew's Church where a large crowd attended to pay their final respects tot he family. A guard of honour was formed by members of Ballymahon GAA Club, Liam was a former player at the club many years ago. At the funeral Mass, the beautiful singing was performed by Liam's nephew, Darragh McGann from Cobh, Co Cork together with organist Padraig McGowan and the local choir. Again many people from Ballymahon and from several parts of the country were in attendance which bore ample testimony to the high regard in which Liam and all the McGann family is held. Liam's remains were laid to rest at the Forgney Cemetery. We extend our deepest sympathy to his wife Mary and family (London), to his sister Maura, Dublin, brothers Frank, Ballymahon, Harry, Lanesboro and Michael, Gort; to his sister in law; brothers in law; nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.
