Emmet Og club notes

January 23, 2017

Well done to the Longford under 21 team especially Micèal Hughes on their fine win over Leitrim on Friday evening last in the Hastings cup semi final. Best wishes this weekend against Meath in the final.

Club membership for the coming year is now overdue. Rates are the same as last years at €40 for players, €25 for non playing members and €20 for students.

The first meeting of our mens shed will take place this coming Thursday evening at 7pm in the club house. The group is open to any male from aged 18 to 118 and will have a range of upcoming activities to suit all tastes.

As announced last week our loot numbers are increasing from 30 to 36 from the first draw in February. The primary purpose of our Club lotto is to be the main fundraiser  to meet the running costs of the club. The club is committed to a programme of continuous improvement which will further enhance the facilities  available to the members of the Senior,Minor and Ladies clubs. We are also offering additional services in 2017 which will be of interest to non-playing members and the wider community. Our lotto has also paid out over € 12,000 in prizes each year mostly back to the local community. In an effort to bring our Jackpot into line with others on offer and hopefully generate wider interest our Lotto jackpot will be paid out on matching  4 numbers from 1 - 36  from the start of February. The lotto will still pay out the same Prize Value on an ongoing basis and any additional revenue generated will be invested directly back into the club.As always if your luck is in your numbers will come up and hopefully we will be presenting a sizeable to  the lucky winner in the near future.Thank you for your continued support which is much appreciated.

Our lotto draw took place on Sunday night in Begleys and the numbers drawn were 2, 4, 6, 23, There were no jackpot winners. €20 winners were Mary Ireland, John Bracken, John P McKenna, Declan Rowley and Bernard Borland, Ennybegs. This week's sellers prize went to Mr Brian Finneran. Next week's draw is in the Older Forge for a jackpot of 5500 euro.

Finally we offer our deepest sympathies to the Clarke family and the Rowley family Crieve on their recent bereavements.
