Junior Championship Final:

Next Sunday afternoon all roads lead to Pearse Park for the Longford Junior Championship final with Killoe and Kenagh. We wish Kevin Dooner and management team and panel members the very best of luck. Please come out and support our team in the final.

 

Senior League Win:

We played our final league game on Saturday night last when we defeated Mullinalaghta on a scoreline of Killoe 1-8 Mullinalaghta 0-7. This was a good team performance in preparation for the county final in a couple of weeks time.

 

A Night with GAA Stars:

Emmet Og GAA are hosting A Night With The Stars on Saturday evening the 5th of October commencing at 7.30pm in the clubhouse Clonee. We are very much looking forward to this evening and the Legends who will be in attendance are Tyrone Peter Canavan, Westmeath Dessie Dolan, Armagh Oisin McConville and Kerry Tomas O'Shea. They will also be joined by local stars. Tickets are now on sale in Begleys and the Olde Forge and are priced at €20 each. Please note tickets are strictly limited so get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

The night will be finished off with Up For The Match with Mick Fenelon and friends in Begleys bar. Optional donation on door towards player medical costs.

 

Club Merchandise

There has been a large uptake on the sale of Club Merchandise over the weekend. Opening times for sales this week in the clubhouse are as follows: Wednesday 7-8:30pm, Friday 6-7:30pm .

 

County Final Competition:

In advance of the County Final, the club are running a competition for the best decorated house or business in the parish. To enter submit your photograph to the clubs Facebook page for a chance to win 1 years subscription to our weekly lotto.

 

Lotto:

Our lotto draw took place in The Oldge Forge on Sunday night. There were no jackpot winners. The numbers drawn were 4,6,10,32. The €20 winners were John Dowd Glenoghill, Cian Farrelly Soran, Kevin Lennon New Jersey, Cora Kiernan Knockloughlin and Seamus Fitzpatrick Mullinalaghta. The Sellers prize went to Ann Murray.

Next weeks draw takes place in Begleys and the jackpot will be €8,200. Thank you for your continued support for our lotto. Tickets are available from any committee member or online on the link on our facebook page.

 

Condolences:

The club extends sincere sympathy to the Hagan families Rhyne and Treanlawn and the McKenna family on their recent bereavements.

 

Commemoration:

Thanks to all who represented the club and helped to organise the team for last weekends game in Ballinalee. A good afternoons entertainment was had by all.

 

Over 40 Success:

Well done to the Longford/Leitrim Over 40 team and management on winning the All-Ireland Plate on Saturday last and in particular to our club players John Conlon and Gerry Carberry. Gerry also received the player of the match. Well done to all.

 

Minor Defeat:

Hard luck to the Killoe Og team and management who were defeated in the minor semi-final on Sunday by Colmcille/St Francis/Ballymore team.
