Sympathy: Dromard GAA extends its sympathy to the Lee family on the death of Brian Lee, Clonelly. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Senior Football Championship Round 2: Dromard 2-16 St Mary’s Granard 0-10. Congratulations to our senior footballers and management team on a good performance and victory over Granard on Sunday. Dromard led by 11 points to 5 at half time thanks to scores from Joseph Hagan, James Martin, Francis McGee (4), Peter Reynolds, Ronan McEntire (2) and Diarmuid Masterson (2). Although Granard narrowed the gap to just four points mid way through the second half, goals from substitute John Sheridan and James Martin along with points from Ronan McEntire, Francis McGee, Peter Reynolds and James Martin secured a deserved win for Dromard. Dromard’s final group game is against county champions Mullinalaghta St Columba’s in two week’s time. Junior Championship: Our junior panel under the management of Noel Reynolds, Jimmy Kiernan and John O’Toole begin their championship campaign this Wednesday evening with a home game in Páirc na nGael against St Mary’s Granard at 8pm. All support welcome. Dromard will have four games against Granard, Fr Manning Gaels, Legan Sarsfields and Killoe.

Division 1 League: Our senior team is back in action this weekend in the league when they play Mostrim in Devine Park. This is the second last league fixture and is an important game. Please see fixtures for details and come out and support the team this weekend.

Championship Action at Páirc na nGael: On Saturday Páirc na nGael hosed its second double header of championship games with Grattan Óg versus Ballymore followed by Clonguish and Mullinalaghta. Thank you to everyone in the club who helped out over the last two weekends to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Special thanks to Thomas Donohoe for all his hard work, to the stewards who organised car parking, those who helped out in the clubhouse, around the grounds and at the shop and to everyone involved over the two weekends.
