Confidence in the Longford camp is high following their draw against Kildare in the Leinster SFC quarterfinal, according to Daniel Mimnagh.

The Midlanders were massive underdogs against Kildare, but to their credit, they produced a brilliant performance to record a draw.

The sides meet again this Sunday in O’Connor Park and Mimnagh told the Longford Leader that they took a lot of confidence from the performance.

“We have a lot of belief in ourselves,” stated Mimnagh. A lot of people may write us off. Hopefully we’ll have the support again next Sunday. We just got to keep ploughing on but it’s going to be hard.”
