Leagues:

Our Division 1 and 3 teams got their seasons off to a winning start. Our Division 1 team beat Colmcille on a scoreline of Colmcille 3-9 Killoe 1-16. Our Division 3 team had a comprehensive victory over Longford Slashers on a scoreline of 3-12 to 2 points.

 

Next weekend sees both teams in action against Abbeylara. Check fixtures for date and time.

 

Terry Mc Cormack Memorial Cycle:

The Terry Mc Cormack Memorial Cycle in Aid of Fighting Blindness on Sunday next the 7th April. Registration takes place for the 70km from 8.30am-9.30 am and for the 30km from 9.30am-10.30am at Longford Rugby Club. Entry is €25. Anyone who is available to steward should contact Marie Mc Cormack on 086 3516501.

 

Longford Rose of Tralee:

Best of luck to our Irish Officer Marie Brady who is taking part in the Longford Rose Gala selection night on Saturday next the 6th April in the longford Arms Hotel.

 

Lotto:

Our lotto draw took place in Begleys Bar on Sunday night last. There were no jackpot winners. The numbers drawn were 2, 8, 10, 33. The €20 winners were Joe Maloney Soran, Noel Prunty Dooroc, Frank Rowley New York , Jan Andrew Esker South and Sean Kelly Esker Lower. The sellers prize went to Nellie McGoldrick.

 

Next weeks draw takes place in The Olde Forge Bar and the jackpot will be €5,700. As this is our main source of income we would encourage and appreciate all families in the parish to support our lotto. Anyone interested in purchasing a yearly lotto ticket can do so by contacting any member of the executive.
