Emmet Og Club Notes

October 08, 2018

Our fabulous minor team captured the championship title on Sunday last to add to the league crown won earlier in the year, when we held on by a single point to defeat Carrick Sarsfields/St Dominics after a nailbiting contest. This is our second year in a row to capture the league and championship titles and is a remarakable achievement. Well done to the entire team but particularily the management of Thomas Donohoe, Gary Fenlon, Paul O Hara and Daniel Mimnagh on making this happen.

Next Sunday our under 20 team contest the championship final in this competitions inagural year. We face an amalgamation from oour neighbours Edgeworthstown and Clonbroney. Throw in is at 12midday in Pearse Park. Best wishes to all involved.

Our lotto draw for a jackpot of €3,300 took place on Sunday night and the numbers drawn were 7, 9, 15 and 19. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Willie and Mary Brady, Ennybegs, Gary Fenlon, Donal Maguire, Fran Connolly, Clonee and Monica Matthews, Newtownforbes. This weeks sellers prize went to Bernard Brady. Thanks again to all who support our lotto in its many forms.

Finally this week we offer our deepest sympathies to the Nolan family Bawn and England on their bereavement last week.
