Michael Quinn says he and his Longford team mates are raring to go for Sunday's Leinster SFC semi-final against Dublin at Croke Park.

The Midlanders will head to the capital as 25/1 underdogs against the All-Ireland champions in what is their first provincial semi-final in three decades and Quinn says the mood in the camp couldn't be better.

"There is a good buzz around the place. Even to just go up and play in Croke Park; lads are looking forward to that," the Killoe clubman is quoted saying by the Irish Daily Star.

"For us you want to play against the best in the country and see where you are at. I think if you were constantly playing against better opposition, you will improve.

"Dublin will have their homework done on Longford, like anyone else. That's why they are a top team.

"They are not going to take anyone for granted, come into the game and expect to roll us over. We are the same. We want to compete against that standard of player. Mark us against them for this year or the years to come."
