Sympathy: Dromard GAA offers its condolences to the to the Bissett family and Seamus Daly, Fostra, on the sad passing of Rebecca (Becca) Bissett. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam.

Division 1 League: Well done to our senior team who earned a well-deserved draw against Killoe in their second Division 1 league fixture played in Emmet Park on Saturday last. With Francis McGee, Ronan McEntire and Cian Mimnagh on the scoresheet, Dromard trailed by just one point at half time, 1-5 to 0-7, having earlier led by 6 points to 3. In a very closely contested game. Dromard worked hard to create scoring chances and added four second-half points, two from Francis McGee (from play and a free) and one each from Bernard Sheridan and Diarmuid Masterson. In an exciting finish, Dromard had a few chances to win the game but a couple of point attempts went narrowly wide, and the sides finished all square. Team: Sean McNerney; Paul McGee, Pauric Martin, James Mimnagh; Peter Reynolds, John Sheridan, Dylan McCormack; Diarmuid Masterson, Ronan McEntire; Bryan McCormack, Cian Mimnagh, Bernard Sheridan; Ross McNerney, Francis McGee, Peter Masterson;. Subs: Joseph Hagan, Luke McEntire, Peter Mimnagh.

Fixtures: On Saturday evening next (14th April) our senior team will aim to build on their good performance against Killoe when they take on Ballymahon in Division 1. Throw in at Páirc na nGael is at 7pm. On Sunday (15th April), our second team also plays Ballymahon in Páirc na nGael. Throw in is at 2pm. All support welcome.

Dromard Ladies Club Notes

Results and Fixtures: Last week saw the start of Championship Football for both our U/12 Panel and our U/16 Panel with two very differing outcomes. First to taste action on Monday last were the U/12s,and they were to receive a hefty defeat from neighbours Comcille. This is a very young group this year, with only 1 player actually 12 and the rest 10 or 11yrs old so don't be disheartened girls. Just keep putting into practice what you are learning in training and you will be a much improved outfit by the end of the year. It was a very different story, however for the U/16's who had a very convincing win away to St. Helen's. Both Panels are out again during the week, with the U/12's hosting Killoe, and the U/16's out twice, against Mullinalaghta at home and then away to Colmcille. Good Luck to both panels. With the start of matches being played on weekday nights, training for Underage Girls will move to Saturday mornings starting on April 14th.

Get Well Soon: Ciara Maguire who suffered a slight fracture of her wrist during the U/16 game against St.Helens whilst blocking the ball. She says it hasn't affected her voice, so she will be on the sideline to cheer on her teammates until it heals. Great stuff Ciara.

Birthday Greetings: Aisling Farrell who will be 14 on Friday. Happy Birthday from the U/14 Panel and the U/16 Panel for whom she also plays.

Welcome to the World: Gearoid Daly. Son to Raymond and Anne, and brother to Ellie from our U/14 Panel. Also  Kate, daughter to Stephen and Edel O'Keefe (nee Harrington) a former player for Dromard Ladies. We wish both families many happy days ahead with the new arrivals.
