Sympathy: Dromard GAA Club offers its sympathy to the following families on their recent bereavements: to the McNerney family on the passing of Bridgie McNerney (née Ward) Carrickadorish; to the Sullivan family, Aughakine, on death of Frank Sullivan; to the McKiernan family on the passing of Mary McKiernan (Nee Corcoran), Newtown, Carrickaboy, Co Cavan; to the Morris family on the death of Professor Vincent Morris, Stepaside, Dublin and Arva; to the Brady family on the passing of Kathleen Brady, Gowna; and to the Lennon family on the death of Bridget (Cissie) Lennon. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n- ainmneacha.

National League: Best of luck to the Longford senior footballers and to the management and backroom team in Round 1 of the League against Offaly in O'Connor Park, Tullamore on Sunday (throw in at 2pm). In particular, good luck to Dromard's representative on Longford panel Ronan McEntire and to Enda Macken, Danny O'Toole and Alan McLoughlin.

Aaron Hagan Memorial Hunt: The 9th annual Aaron Hagan Memorial Hunt will take place this Sunday (28th January). The event also includes a 7KM walk/run/cycle as well as a raffle and auction. Hunt registration and assembly takes place from 12:30pm at the Dromard GAA clubhouse at Páirc na nGael, with the hunt departing at 1:30pm. Registration for the 7KM walk/run/cycle is from 12:30pm at the Clubhouse with participants departing at 1:45pm. The auction and raffle will take place at 4pm approximately. Proceeds from the day go to Meals on Wheels and Tubberpatrick Cemetery Upkeep.

 

St Francis Dromard Minor Club Notes

AGM: The rescheduled AGM for St. Francis Minor Club will take place this Sunday the 28th January at 8pm in the clubhouse. Please attend if you can spare the time as important matters for the upcoming year will be discussed. 

Coaches / Executive: If you would like to become a coach or help out with the off-field running of the minor club please contact Gavin McNerney through [email protected] at your earliest convenience.

 

Dromard Ladies Club Notes

Dinner Dance: To be held in the Breffni Arms Hotel, Arva this Saturday 27th January. Drinks Reception 8pm. 4 Course Dinner served at 8 30pm sharp. There will be traditional entertainment during the evening followed by Speeches and Presentations before we take to the dancefloor under the able guidance of D J Pete. Spot prizes ongoing throughout the evening. Tickets cost just €25 - an absolute bargain for a cracking night's fun. Tickets are on sale in Corrigans Service Station, Gortermone Stores and Moyne Cross Stores or from any committee member or Senior Player. If you have any trouble sourcing a ticket, please call 087 354 0795 (Bernie) or 086 087 5602 (Imelda). We have been asked about young children and we would politely suggest the event would only be suitable for teenagers and upward. This is our chance to provide you all with an evening out as a thank you for all the support and encouragement you have given us during the year. We can't wait to see you all on Saturday.

             

Birthday Greetings: Congratulations to Nicole Conboy who will be 14 years old on Friday, and to our Secretary, Senior Full Forward and County Panelist Imelda Reynolds whose birthday fell last Thursday.
