O'Byrne Cup: Congratulations to the Longford Senior Footballers on their fine performance and win over Kildare in Pearse Park on Sunday. Best of luck to the players and management in the semi final against Meath next Sunday, especially Dromard's Enda Macken, Danny O'Toole and Alan McLoughlin who are part of the Longford backroom team.

Fuel Draw: The following are the winners in our annual fuel draw which took place on Sunday (7th January) in the Clubhouse. R. Murtagh, Fostra: 500 litres of heating oil. K. Hagan, Cornakelly: trailer load of turf. J. Murphy, Aghamore Lower: 30 bales of briquettes. A. McErlean, Annagh: 10 bags coal. R.Cosgrove, Berinagh: trailer of logs. M. Smith, Drumury: trailer of logs. Sellers Prize of €20 went to Shauna O'Reilly from our Senior Panel. As always, a top class effort from all our players young and old. Well done girls, terrific work. A sincere thank you to our 3 local shops for selling our tickets: Corrigans, Gortermone Stores and Moyne Stores plus this year the following Arva shops for also selling for us: Lynch's Newsagents, Clutterbug, McManus Pharmacy, Goal Post, Arva Barber, Breffni Arms.
