Emmet Og club notes

October 31, 2017

Its all systems go for our exciting €20,000 prize drop fundraising event this Saturday night in the Longford Arms. The show kicks off at  with a cheese and wine reception at 7pm for all those who have purchased advertisements and sponsored the event. The main action kicks off in the Ballroom at 8pm sharp with our first contestant on stage. There will be nine persons chosen on the night from those who have purchased tickets and each will be given €2,500 prize money to play with. In order to hold onto their monies they must successfully choose the answers to 8 questions from 4 answers provided. Contestants will also have options such as ask the audience, 50/50 and phone a friend. It seems simple and promises to be a great nights crack. We hope to see a large crowd in attendance.

Unfortunately our under 21 team suffered defeat in the championship to Clonguish on Saturday evening last. We are in action again in this competition this coming weekend. Please see fixtures for details.

Our lotto draw took place in Begleys bar on Sunday night and the numbers drawn were 9, 14, 24 and 27. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were   Colm and MIchelle Hughes, Farragh, Gary Fenelon, Sean Whelan, Michelle Tully, and Peter Creamer, Longford. This weeks sellers prize went to Frank Toher. Next weeks draw takes [place in the Olde Forge and sees the jackpot rise to €9,900. Thanks again to all who support our lotto.

Finally we offer congratulations to Edel Quinn, Traenlawn and Joe Lafferty, Donegal who were married at the weekend. We wish you both many happy years of wedded bliss together.
