All-Ireland SFC quarter-final phase 2
Tyrone 0-14 Dublin 1-14, Healy Park, 7pm FT
Roscommon 0-13 Donegal 0-20, Dr Hyde Park, 5pm FT

20:45

The Dubs never looked like losing. Tyrone now still have a decent chance of reaching the last four despite having lost twice. All they need is a draw against Donegal. That's all from me. Thanks for reading.

20:42

So Dublin are through to the All-Ireland semi-finals and are guaranteed to finish top of the group. They close their Super 8s campaign against Roscommon in a fortnight. Tyrone and Donegal will face off at Ballybofey for the runners-up berth and a precious semi-final place.

20:39

All-Ireland SFC quarter-final full time: Tyrone 0-14 Dublin 1-14

Sub Paul Flynn closes the scoring. Tyrone battled until the end but they pay the price for being wasteful at key moments and a more-economical Dublin hold on for their second Super 8s victory.

20:37

Drama until the end here but it looks like Dublin will grind out a win.

20:36

Ronan O'Neill misses the free in the fourth of five added minutes.

20:35

And the Red Hands have a free-in...

20:34

Tyrone 0-14 Dublin 1-13

McGeary fires over a 14th Tyrone point and Cluxton butchers the restart!

20:33

Great defending by the hosts. A lot of big hits going in now.

20:32

As is now traditional, there will be five minutes of injury time...

20:31

A minute left plus at least five more of injury time, I'd imagine.

20:30

Four minutes left and Tyrone tails are up.

20:29

Tyrone 0-13 Dublin 1-13

Substitutes Kieran McGeary and Harry Loughran pull two more points back as the Red Hands keep going.

20:26

Tyrone 0-11 Dublin 1-13

Rock swings over a free and the Tyrone comeback is snuffed out before it had even begun.

20:25

Tyrone 0-11 Dublin 1-12

But Kilkenny hits back immediately.

20:25

Tyrone 0-11 Dublin 1-11

Harte pops over a free and Tyrone are right back in contention with eight minutes left.

20:23

Tyrone 0-10 Dublin 1-11

Is there a kick in the Red Hands? McShane fires one over on the hour and we are back to a four-point game. Con O'Callaghan hits the woodwork at the other end.

20:22

Tyrone 0-9 Dublin 1-11

Mark Bradley replies.

20:21

Tyrone 0-8 Dublin 1-11

Sub Kevin McManamon makes it a six-point game with 58 minutes played.

20:20

Wide from Padraig Hampsey.

20:19

It would be hard to describe gaelic football to somebody who has never witnessed it. It's a strange game these days, with very little 'foot' involved. Dublin are grinding their way to success here but this is another awful spectacle.

20:17

Rock misses a free.

20:15

We're into the fourth quarter and Tyrone have been all but crushed.

20:14

The Red Hands are forced to kick from distance again but it flies wide.

20:13

Tyrone 0-8 Dublin 1-10

Rock plants a free between the sticks.

20:13

The Dubs look incredibly comfortable.

20:10

Some burst of handpassing in Omagh tonight.

20:08

That McCarthy goal has blown the game open. He played a one-two with Brian Fenton and reacted quickest after being initially denied by Morgan.

20:07

Tyrone 0-8 Dublin 1-9

Dublin seem to have Tyrone where they want them now as they pass the ball around calmly before Rock takes his point.

20:05

Tyrone 0-8 Dublin 1-8

But back come the Red Hands with points from McShane and McAliskey ('45').

20:02

Goal!

The gap is five as the Tyrone defence is opened up and Niall Morgan can't keep James McCarthy out. The Tyrone custodian makes the initial save but McCarthy palms to the net - 1-8 to 0-6!

20:01

Tyrone 0-6 Dublin 0-8

Ciaran Kilkenny, my bet for Footballer of the Year, replies with a wonderful Dublin point.

19:59

Tyrone 0-6 Dublin 0-7

But the blanket defence is powerless to stop McAliskey from firing a point!

19:58

14 Dublin players in defence again...

19:58

Tyrone in possession but the high press is on.

19:57

The action resumes. A fascinating 35 minutes, nay 40, ahead...

19:50

Dean Rock the only forward to have scored so far, then.

19:48

All five of Tyrone's scores so far were registered by defenders - Harte (2), McKernan, McCann and Burns.

19:45

Both sides will be happy enough with how this game has panned out so far. It's very much up for grabs when the action resumes.

19:41

All-Ireland SFC quarter-final half time: Tyrone 0-5 Dublin 0-7

A fascinating first half played largely on the Red Hands' terms ends with the Dubs ahead by two. McCaffrey, McMahon, Small and Howard all chipping in with Dublin points.

19:39

Wide from Mannion. The backs are better are shooting and the forwards better at defending so far here in this topsy-turvy encounter.

19:37

A huge blow for the Red Hands. Five additional minutes to be added at the end of this half.

19:36

McNamee is in trouble and will have to be replaced.

19:35

Ronan McNamee receiving treatment now after an accidental collision.

19:34

Tyrone 0-5 Dublin 0-7

Inspirational point from John Small - the defenders are hitting some sensational shots here!

19:32

Tyrone 0-5 Dublin 0-6

And corner back Michael McKiernan follows up with another off the outside of his right foot after Dublin are denied a clear free.

19:31

Tyrone 0-4 Dublin 0-6

Tyrone centre back Frank Burns is always good for a point and he comes up trumps again on 31 minutes.

19:29

Tyrone 0-3 Dublin 0-6

Double scores now as Rock pops over a free that was moved forward for encroachment.

19:28

Sludden lucky not to see a card for giving him a wee slap there.

19:27

Mannion defending terrifically so far.

19:26

Dublin turn over possession again and Colm Cavanagh gives away the free. Paul Mannion is down. And up again.

19:25

16,205

spectators taking in this massive encounter.

19:24

Two sensational points there from the Sam Maguire Cup holders. Wide at the town end from Harte.

19:23

Tyrone 0-3 Dublin 0-5

Total football from Dublin as Philly McMahon drills one over off the outside of the boot!

19:21

Tyrone 0-3 Dublin 0-4

Brian Howard replies immediately with a stunning point!

19:21

Tyrone 0-3 Dublin 0-3

The entire Dublin team bar Cluxton is back defending but they can't stop McCann from tying up the scores!

19:20

Cathal McShane goes down awkwardly. He'll do well to shake that one off.

19:18

Tyrone 0-2 Dublin 0-3

Former Footballer of the Year Jack McCaffrey roars through to kick the lead point for the Leinster champions.

19:17

Connor McAliskey's effort hits the post.

19:15

Two points apiece after 15 minutes. No way through for Dublin. Defences on top.

19:12

Tyrone 0-2 Dublin 0-2

Rock was never going to miss a free from there. Might have got it over myself!

19:10

Tyrone 0-2 Dublin 0-1

Harte gets on the end of a brilliant Tyrone break to edge the Red Hands ahead.

19:09

Tyrone 0-1 Dublin 0-1

Harte splits the posts on nine minutes.

19:08

A very disjointed start to the game. Tyrone have a free-in and Peter Harte steps forward.

19:06

Tiernan McCann pulls Philly McMahon down but a black card is not forthcoming.

19:05

Wide from Niall Sludden and a loud cheer from the travelling supporters.

19:04

Rock drops one short now.

19:04

Tyrone 0-0 Dublin 0-1

Dean Rock opens the scoring and play resumes instantly.

19:03

Dublin with the ball now and moving nicely...

19:02

Wide from Richard Donnelly. Some tough tackles going in.

19:01

Tyrone in possession, showing patience...

19:01

Welcome to Omagh!

19:00

Free to Dublin for a late hit on Cian O'Sullivan.

19:00

Game on!

How will the Dubs fare in their first championship match north of the border?

18:58

The national anthem is being sung and we are just about ready to start...

18:57

Magical atmosphere in Omagh as throw-in approaches. Can the Red Hands avenge their 2017 semi-final defeat?

18:53

Conditions are perfect for a game of football.

18:50

David Coldrick from Meath is the referee.

18:47

Team news:

Tyrone starting as per programme.

18:45

How will Dublin cope with a first away championship match in 12 years? Tyrone have narrowed the pitch to make things as uncomfortable as possible for them.

18:42

Team news:

Just three changes for Dublin: Jack McCaffrey replaces Michael Fitzsimons, Eoin Murchan comes in for Michael Darragh MacAuley and John Small gets the nod ahead of Paddy Andrews.

18:39

Dublin:

Stephen Cluxton; Mick Fitzsimons, Cian O'Sullivan, Philly McMahon; Brian Howard, James McCarthy, Johnny Cooper; Brian Fenton, Michael Darragh Macauley; Niall Scully, Ciarán Kilkenny, Con O'Callaghan; Dean Rock, Paul Mannion, Paddy Andrews

18:38

Tyrone:

N Morgan; M McKernan, R McNamee, HP McGeary; T McCann, F Burns, P Harte, C Cavanagh, P Hampsey; M Donnelly, N Sludden, C Meyler; C McShane, R Donnelly, C McAliskey.

18:37

We're just over 20 minutes away from Tyrone V Dublin in Omagh. The atmosphere has been building up all day and the stage is set for what could be one of the matches of the year!

18:35

All-Ireland SFC quarter-final full-time: Roscommon 0-13 Donegal 0-20

A facile victory for the Ulster champions who are up and running in the Super 8s. They will meet Tyrone at Ballybofey in a fortnight. Next up for the Rossies is Dublin at Croke Park.

18:33

Wide from Enda Smith.

18:33

Roscommon 0-12 Donegal 0-20

Martin Reilly points at the end of a rapid Donegal counter-attack.

18:30

Roscommon 0-12 Donegal 0-19

Five minutes of stoppage time on the way. Leo McLoone increases the gap as an exodus begins at Hyde Park.

18:28

Roscommon 0-12 Donegal 0-18

MacNiallais and Murphy have been the outstanding players on show here. The former bags his third of the second half.

18:28

But we are into the last two minutes. Yellow card for Devaney, who probably could have had one earlier, too.

18:27

Roscommon 0-12 Donegal 0-17

As we were at the break again as Murtagh converts a free.

18:25

Roscommon 0-11 Donegal 0-17

Murphy was in no hurry to take that free. Finds the target again - 0-9 for him now.

18:23

Mark McHugh and Ciaran Thompson have both been introduced by Donegal. They have some bench, in fairness.

18:22

A late rally from the Rossies has made this interesting.

18:22

Roscommon 0-11 Donegal 0-16

Instead, Ciarain Murtagh (free) slots their third unanswered point.

18:20

We're into the last ten minutes and it's fair to say the Rossies need a goal.

18:19

Roscommon 0-10 Donegal 0-16

Sub Donie Smith fires one over off the outside of the boot.

18:19

Ooh!

MacNiallais goes for goal but hits the butt of the post!

18:18

Roscommon 0-9 Donegal 0-16

Great battling from Diarmuid Murtagh as he forages possession and kicks a consolation point.

18:17

Roscommon 0-8 Donegal 0-16

Roscommon losing their discipline a little bit. Their manager is in the stand since half time. Ryan McHugh with a point.

18:16

Patton executes a routine save.

18:15

Frank McGlynn goes off to a standing ovation. Tyrone up next for him in Ballybofey!

18:14

Murphy has matched the Roscommon tally to date. Declan Bonner has compensated well for the absence of Patrick McBrearty by posting him and MacNiallais inside.

18:13

This has been way too easy for Donegal. Roscommon totally out of their depth at this level.

18:11

Roscommon 0-8 Donegal 0-15

That's Murphy's eighth score, each one better than the previous!

18:09

Twenty minutes left and Donegal are further ahead now than they were at the break...

18:08

Roscommon 0-8 Donegal 0-14

Murphy taps over a free from his hands.

18:06

Roscommon 0-8 Donegal 0-13

Smith with a super score off his left on 47 minutes.

18:03

Roscommon 0-7 Donegal 0-13

Murphy effortlessly bags his sixth.

18:01

What. A. Point.

MacNiallais helps himself to another beauty. 12-7.

18:00

Danger in the rearguard but Lavin collects and the Rossies clear their lines.

17:59

Roscommon 0-7 Donegal 0-11

Ciarain Murtagh points as the Rossies refuse to roll over.

17:58

Roscommon 0-6 Donegal 0-11

MacNiallais helps himself to an exquisite point, then fires one wide.

17:57

It's a beautiful evening. Roscommon on the front foot again...

17:56

Patton is down now and needs treatment.

17:55

Roscommon 0-6 Donegal 0-10

Ciaran Lennon is into the Rossies team and he was involved in that move, which culminated in a point for Stack.

17:54

The action resumes...

17:54

It's very difficult to see how Roscommon can claw back a five-point deficit against Donegal of all teams. Michael Murphy is proving to be a serious handful in at full forward and a Donegal goal also looks almost inevitable.

17:43

Kevin McStay not happy with the linesman there when the short whistle sounded. He could be in trouble.

17:40

All-Ireland SFC quarter-final half time: Roscommon 0-5 Donegal 0-10

The Ulster champions lead by double scores at the break, with their captain Michael Murphy rampant. He registered five times and Donegal have won virtually all of the kick-outs so far. 17/21, I think.

17:39

No free-in to the Rossies as Diarmuid Murtagh goes down - looked like a foul.

17:38

Roscommon 0-5 Donegal 0-10

In injury time at the end of the first half, Michael Langan hares through to take his point.

17:37

McHugh manfully shakes off another blow.

17:36

Roscommon 0-5 Donegal 0-9

Right on cue, Cathal Compton fires one over off the outside of his boot.

17:35

Roscommon haven't scored in 21 minutes!

17:34

Roscommon 0-4 Donegal 0-9

Within 30 seconds, Murphy plunders another point. Seven in a row now for the rampant Ulster champions!

17:33

Roscommon 0-4 Donegal 0-8

The magnificent Murphy strikes again with his fourth of the match!

17:31

Wide

Enda Smith with Roscommon's fourth wide.

17:31

Six wides now to three for the home team.

17:30

A fifth Donegal wide with five minutes left before the break.

17:28

Roscommon 0-4 Donegal 0-7

Murphy points at his ease - five without reply now!

17:27

Save!

Stack goes for a goal but Shaun Patton makes a vital save to deny the full forward.

17:27

Roscommon 0-4 Donegal 0-6

Thompson is left unmarked and he duly strokes over a lovely point off the left peg.

17:25

No joy for Enda Smith at the other end.

17:25

After a bright start from the hosts, Donegal have landed the last three scores and look like they could get a goal any minute...

17:24

Donegal on top but they miss yet another opportunity.

17:23

Brennan with a bad miss.

17:23

Roscommon 0-4 Donegal 0-5

Brennan runs at the heart of the Roscommon defence and is taken out, resulting in a free which Murphy chips over. Donegal lead for the first time. 22 minutes played.

17:21

Very unfortunate for the Ulster champions. Looks like Gallagher could have picked up a season-ending injury. Hopefully not.

17:20

Injured

A blow for Donegal as Eoghan Ban Gallagher is forced out with an arm injury, but how about Neil McGee for a quality replacement?

17:18

Level!

We're midway through the opening period as Odhrán MacNiallais steals in behind the Rossies rearguard to supply the equaliser.

17:16

Murphy surprisingly drops a free short and into Lavin's grasp.

17:15

A bang on the thigh for McHugh. It'll take more than that to silence the Kilcar man.

17:14

Roscommon 0-4 Donegal 0-3

At the town end, meanwhile, Ciaran Thompson makes a difficult free look easy.

17:13

Roscommon 0-4 Donegal 0-2

Double scores now as Ciarain Murtagh hammers over a tremendous point from a free.

17:12

Inspirational defending from Seanie McDermott and Niall McInerney to thwart Murphy.

17:11

Murtagh fists a point effort wide of the target, under pressure.

17:08

Roscommon 0-3 Donegal 0-2

Murphy nonchalantly slots the accruing '45'.

17:08

Roscommon 0-3 Donegal 0-1

Colm Lavin denies Brennan a Donegal goal after Brian Stack's stunning point - off the left boot from distance - had stretched the Rossies' lead.

17:06

Roscommon 0-2 Donegal 0-1

McHugh to Jamie Brennan and over the bar for Donegal's opening score!

17:06

The Ulster champions have yet to settle. Michael Murphy took a quick free there from a position he could have pointed from...

17:04

Roscommon 0-2 Donegal 0-0

It could have been a goal for the Rossies but Diarmuid Murtagh fires it over to double their lead!

17:03

Roscommon 0-1 Donegal 0-0

Ciarain Murtagh with a terrific point from distance at the graveyard end.

17:02

Ryan McHugh penalised for over-carrying as Roscommon defend well.

17:02

Donegal attacking patiently in the second minute...

17:01

Team news:

Stephen McMenamin and Eamonn Doherty start for Donegal instead of Neil McGee and Niall O'Donnell.

16:59

Huddles out of the way and we are ready for action at The Hyde...

16:56

Donegal are favourites after their encouraging performance against Dublin last weekend. Roscommon were awful against Tyrone but could there by a kick in them?...

16:53

Colm, David, Niall, Sean, John, Fintan, Conor, Tadgh, Cathal, Ciarain, Niall, Enda, Diarmuid, Brian, Cathal in case you are wondering.

16:51

Lazy from whoever posted that team on the HS website three days ago not to type in the first names.

16:50

Roscommon:

C Lavin; D Murray, N McInerney, S McDermott; J McManus, Fintan Cregg, C Devaney; T O'Rourke, C Compton; C Murtagh, N Kilroy, E Smith; D Murtagh, B Stack, C Cregg.

16:50

Donegal:

Shaun Patton; Paddy McGrath, Neil McGee, Eoghan Bán Gallagher; Frank McGlynn, Paul Brennan, Ryan McHugh; Hugh McFadden, Leo McLoone; Niall O’Donnell, Michael Langan, Ciarán Thompson; Odhrán MacNiallais, Michael Murphy, Jamie Brennan.

16:47

The so-called Super 8s were more like the mediocre 8s last weekend. But I'm expecting them to really catch fire in Phase Two.

16:31

The drought doesn't seem to have done much damage in Omagh either.

16:30

Dr Hyde Park is first stop for today's Tracker. And it's looking good!

16:27

Today's winners so far...

Congratulations to Meath, who defeated Kildare in today's Leinster MFC final; Kerry who beat Galway in the All-Ireland JFC final, and Kilkenny for getting the better of Limerick in All-Ireland MHC quarter-final.

14:19

As ever, we will have full text commentary as all the action unfolds.

14:19

And skin and hair are sure to fly when Tyrone welcome defending champions Dublin to Omagh at 7pm. The Dubs emphatically dumped the Red Hands out of contention last year so Mickey Harte's men have a point to prove as both teams bid to secure a second quarter-final round-robin success.

14:16

The action commences at 5pm when Roscommon entertain Ulster champions Donegal at Dr Hyde Park, both sides aiming to bounce back from opening-round defeats last weekend.

14:15

Super 8s, Round 2

The second phase of the inaugural Super 8s gets up and running this evening with two games in Group Two.
