The late Paul Hannon There was great shock and sadness throughout the entire district at the unexpected and untimely death of twenty-one year old Paul Hannon, Bushfield, Carrigatogher on Sunday, November 5th, 2006. Youngest son of Jimmy and Joan, Paul grew up in a 'great G.A.A family' and played from underage to minor levels in hurling and football with Ballina G.A.A. Club. A past pupil of Boher Primary School and St.Anne's Community College, Paul on finishing his second level education joined his father in his Carpentry business. His death leaves an immense void in the hearts and homes of his family and friends. Huge crowds of sympathisers paid their last respects to Paul at Ryan's Funeral Home and Boher Parish Church testifying to the high esteem in which the Hannon-McGrath families are held in the district and beyond. Ballina GAA Club and Boher Primary School students formed Guards of Honour at Reception Service and Burial. Following Requiem Mass concelebrated by Fr. Tom Lanigan Ryan, Fr. Ted O'Rahelly, Fr. Dan Woods, Fr. Bobby Fletcher, Fr. Michael O'Meara (Kinnitty) and Fr. Leo Long (Templederry), Paul was laid to rest in Burgess Cemetery. Sincere sympathy is extended to Paul's parents, Jimmy and Joan; to his brothers Tomas, Michael and Seamus; his sisters-in-law, Sinead and Niamh; niece and nephew, Eimear and Oisin, uncles, aunts, relatives and many friends.
