The late Tom Murphy The death has taken place of Tom Murphy of Ballylin, Ardagh at his residence on Sunday, May 28, 2006. A native of Athea he brought his many talents to Ballylin and the parish when he married his wife Mary. He was 80 years old and highly regarded by all who knew him. He worked in the building trade for many years and was involved in farming with Mary. He liked the game of cards and played with his friend in local venues. he also played football with Carrigkerry junior team in 1963 in the west championship. A good neighbour and friend he also liked to sing a few verses. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, evident of the large group of mourners who attended the funeral. His remains were removed from his residence to Saint Molvas Church, Ardagh with the burial taking place in the adjoining cemetery on Thursday, June 1, 2006. Sympathy is extended to his wife, Mary; son Pat; daughters, Geraldine, Breda and Linda and all other relatives and friends. May he rest in Peace. Courtesy of The Limerick Leader 17 June 2006
