U16 Hurling.

In blistering heat we lined out in Coolcappa last Monday to play visitors Dromin Athlacca. Fair dues to our boys who played in 20+ temperatures and to our referee who accommodated plenty of water. This was a good game or hurling with Dromin getting the best of the opening half finishing  at 2-3 to 1-4. We were happy enough going in at that stage. We really did well in the 2nd half and played some tenacious hurling. Liam Liston gets a special mention with a 3 goal 2nd half blitz from play, Joe Canning wouldn't get a look in. In fairness to the whole team, these goals came from defending well and letting the ball into the forwards. It was a great 2nd half and we finished deserved winners on the night on a score of 7 7 to 1 4. So well done boys, keep practicing first touch, 10 minutes a day make a huge difference

U15 Hurling

Last Friday we travelled to Feenagh to play Belville in an U15 tournament. We started slowly and went behind in the 1st half. Things didn't look fantastic to be honest but what a turnaround in the 2nd half. We really played some great stuff in that half. We re-jigged the team and soon opened up the defence. When the final whistle sounded we emerged deserved winners. Well done boys, good improvement for early stages of the year. Keep it up.

U16 Challenge Match versus Minor Old Mill Ladies

Boys and girls, moms and dads!!! In the next couple of weeks we will organise a fundraising fun match between our U16 boys and the Old Mill minor Ladies. This fun match should be a great spectacle and a good bit of fun on the day. We are raising funds for the girls who in turn have entered Lip Synch Battle. This promises to be a fun day out, more information to follow.
