Galbally club notes

April 25, 2017

Our intermediate footballers lost out by the narrowest of margins to Bruff last Sunday evening in Hospital. Galbally led 7 points to 1 half way through the first half and were playing fine flowing football resulting in great points from Gary Mc Carthy and Colin Ryan to name a few. A rally from Bruff before half time saw Galbally's lead reduced to 7 points to 5. The second half was a hotly contested affair with a lot of the ball being played around the mid field. Bruff began to take control of the game and were 10 points to 8 ahead when Henry Leahy struck a goal with 10 minutes remaining. However Bruff came back at Galbally and kicked 2 unanswered points in the dying moments of the game to claim victory. Galbally face Claughaun in the second round of the Intermediate Championship in Hospital on Sunday 30th April at 7pm.

Galablly U14 footballers were unlucky last Sunday loosing out by 2 points to Cappamore.
