Patrickswell manager Gary Kirby has revealed that he didn't even know who the Limerick champions would be playing in Munster before the county final.

The 'Well had to wait 13 years to end their wait for their latest county title win and Kirby said that was the focus all year and nothing else.

Parish neighbours Ballybrown were disposed of with considerable ease in the county final and now the provincial campaign takes centre stage.

They now face Glen Rovers on November 6th and Kirby admitted to the Limerick Leader that he is now only turning his attention to that game.

"I didn't even know who we were playing," stated Kirby. "This club needed a county - how far we go in Munster is another story but we needed a county and we have got that."
