Stalwart of St Patricks and Cappamore GAA clubs

St Patrick's GAA club was saddened at the recent death of Billy Ryan. Billy and his brother Michael gave great displays for Saints in the Sixties. The Ryan Brothers who lived in Corbally, were encouraged to join the club by the Rainsford brothers. In later years Billy was involved with Cappamore GAA

Billy helped Saints to win many titles in hurling and football including county U21 hurling and football, City Junior football 1966. He also won juvenile (under 16)and minor medals.
Recently, Vincent Phelan organised a reunion of victorious underage team members including Brendan Cross were remembered at the reunion. Sadly now, since the reunion took place, Billy Ryan has died.
