Minor Football

All roads lead to Staker Wallace GAA, Martinstown this evening as the minor footballers look to secure their place in the 2019 County Premier Minor Football Championship semi final when they take on south Limerick side Galbally. We go into the game following an excellent quarter final victory over local rivals Ballysteen last Wednesday evening in Mick Neville Park. Galbally for their part go into the encounter having qualified directly to the semi final having topped their group following four excellent performances so far in the championship. Historically both clubs have a healthy rivalry against each other over the decades and no doubt the men from the foot of the Galtee Mountains will want to gain revenge for the recent senior encounter when we overcame Galbally seniors in round 5 of the county senior football championship. We would ask for your support on Friday evening as the players and management look to qualify for county final at the highest grade which would be a massive achievement for our club. The second semi final is an all west Limerick affair between fierce rivals Newcastlewest and Fr. Casey’s. this evening’s game throws in at 8pm.

Senior Football:

The senior footballers will contest the 2019 County Senior Football Championship Semi-Final on Friday September 27 in the Gaelic Grounds, Ennis Road where Oola will be our opponents. The first semi final between Newcaslewest and three in a row chasing Adare takes place this weekend. Due to Oola’s sister club Doon’s involvement in the County Senior Hurling Championship semi final this weekend our semi final has to rescheduled. v
