This was game of two halves with Dromcollogher/ Broadford leading at the break by 1-09 to 1-06 with our goal coming from Kenny Lynch and then in the second half we out scored Shannon Gaels by 0-10 to 0-2 and also James Molyneaux scored 0-7 on the night and the other points on the night came from: Kenny Lynch (0-4), Séan Madden (0-2), Adam Cotter (0-2), Ryan Reidy (0-1), Leon Madigan (0-1) and Michael Brennan (0-1), we are now in the final against Adare after they defeated Na Pairsaigh in other the Semi-Final on a scoreline of 3-14 to 0-10. Congratulations and the best of luck to our Management team of Maurice McCarthy and Eoin Barry and our brilliant panel of players in the final against Adare, in the West Minor A Football Championship Final, on Thursday August 29th, in Ballinagarry, at 6.15pm, referee to be announced.

 

Séan Madden scored the first point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Shannon Gaels replied with a point to bring sides back on level terms for the first time during the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next four points with two of these points of Kenny Lynch and the other points came from James Molyneaux and Adam Cotter and then Shannon Gaels scored the next 1-1 of the game with 13 minutes to bring game on level terms for the second time during the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points to take lead once again by two points and these points came from Kenny Lynch free and Ryan Reidy and then Shannon Gaels scored the next two points one from a free and the other from play to bring sides back on level terms for third time during the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points to take the lead once again by two points and these points came from Adam Cotter and Michael Brennan and then Shannon Gaels scored the next two points to bring sides back on level terms for the fourth time during the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored their first goal of the game coming from Kenny Lynch with 31 minutes gone in the game to leave three points between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-9 to 1-6.

 

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first five points of the second half to leave eight points with two of these points coming from James Molyneaux and the other three points came from Séan Madden, Leon Madigan and Patrick Curtin and then Shannon Gaels scored the next point of the game to leave seven points between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the five points of the game with four of these coming from James Molyneaux and the other coming from Kenny Lynch and then Shannon Gaels scored the last point of the game to leave 11 points between the sides at end of the game. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-19 to 1-08.

This was a very tight game with our boys playing a lot better than last week against Granagh/ Ballingarry with 12 points coming from Damien Lacey with 10 from frees and two other from paly and the other points came from Paul Madigan and Jimmy Kiely with four rounds played the table reads as follows Glenroe six points, Granagh/ Ballingarry and St. Patrick’s both on 5 points Effin and Hospital/ Herbertstown both on four points, and Dromcollogher/ Broadford no points and the best of luck against Effin to the Management team led by Denis O’Carroll and the panel of the players led by Séan O’Sullivan captain, on Saturday August 31st, in Ballingarry, at 3pm, referee to be announced.

 

Glenroe scored the first five points of the game with three of these points came from Mark O’Connell and the other points came from Darren McCarthy and Eoin Walsh and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points to leave three points between the sides and these points came from Jimmy Kiely and Damien Lacey. Damien Lacey of Dromcollogher and Mike Mansell exchanged points to leave three points between the sides and then Glenroe scored the next three points with two of these coming from Mark O’Connell and Ciaran Kelly to leave six points between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points both points came from Damien Lacey one from play and the other from a free and then Mike Mansell of Glenroe and Paul Madigan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford exchanged points to leave four points between the sides at end of the half. To leave the score at half-time Glenroe 0-10 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-06.

 

Glenroe scored the first two points both coming from David McCarthy to leave six points and then Damien Lacey scored the next three pointed frees to leave three points between the sides. Glenroe scored the next four points to leave seven points and with of two of these points coming from Mark O’Connell and the other points came from Stephen Walsh and Jimmy Barry Murphy and then Damien Lacey of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Mark O’Connell exchanged pointed frees to leave six points between the sides once again. David McCarthy of Glenroe and Damien Lacey of Dromcollogher/ Broadford exchanged points to leave six points between the sides once again. Glenroe scored the next three points to leave nine points between the sides with two of these points came from Mark O’Connell and the other point coming Ciaran Kelly and then Damien Lacey scored the last two pointed frees of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave seven points between the sides at end of the game. To leave the score at full-time Glenroe 0-21 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-14.

Results of the 352nd draw took place on August 19th, in the Corner House, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 11, 25, 26, 30 there was no winner of the jackpot was at €6,100 and there also was no winner of match three at €100 and the two lucky dips of €50 each were: Conor McLoughlin, Knocktoosh, Broadford and Kieran Ryan, Dromcollogher, and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday August 26th, in Begley’s Bar, Broadford and the Jackpot is going up to €6,200 and the match three is staying at €100. Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.
