This was a very one-sided game played down in Feenagh at the break with Granagh/ Ballingarry leading by 2-7 to 0-6 and then in the second half Granagh/ Ballingarry scored 2-5 to our 1-4 with our goal coming from James Noonan this was our first game in the group stages and we have Killeedy and Newcastle West left to play in the group stages.

 

Granagh/ Ballingarry scored the first two points of the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points to bring these sides back on level terms for the first time during the game and these points came from Declan Stack and Thomas Fitzgerald. Granagh/ Ballingarry scored the next 1-1 of the game and then Kevin Quaid scored the next point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave three points between the sides. Granagh/ Ballingarry scored the next point and then Thomas Fitzgerald scored another pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave three points between the sides once again. Granagh/ Ballingarry scored the next 1-1 of the game and then Thomas Fitzgerald scored the next pointed free of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave six points between the sides. Granagh/ Ballingarry scored the next point of the game and then Thomas Fitzgerald scored another pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave six points between the sides. U12 Football Notes


On Thursday night last our footballers were at home to Knockaderry. It was great to see a full panel of players on the night. The home team started very brightly playing some lovely football up and down the field our defenders were defending in packs, with our midfielders and forwards moving the ball very smartly. After the first period of twenty minutes our boys were up six pts. The Drom Broadford team started the second period of the game playing some intelligent football picking off some lovely scores. The longer the game went on our boys were growing in confidence. After the end of the second period our boys had put up a big score of 3-10 to 0-02 this was a great team performance by everyone. These group of players have a great future ahead of them if they keep progressing the way there going.

U12 Hurling Notes


On Monday night our hurlers took on Adare in Drom. It was a lovely evening for a game, this was a very entertaining game of hurling from start to finish. Adare brought a panel of 22 players we had a panel of 15. Adare started the brightest in the first quarter with picking off a few nice scores. The second quarter our boys started to get more into the game they really battled well. In the third and final quarter our boys started to press forward and started to create a few more scoring chances only for the Adare goalkeeper making a few excellent saves the outcome of the game might have been different. The line-out was as follows. C. Boyce, G. Farrell, O. Broderick, R. Sheehan, S. Browne. A. O’Dell. A. O’Kelly, S. O’Flynn J. Lenihan R O’Dell, C. Burke, R. Jefferies, D, O’Connell. D.J. U11 hurling Notes
 

Our u11 hurlers travelled to Coolcappagh on Saturday morning to take on the home team. This was a very entertaining game with our boys hurling very well on the day were very unlucky to be beaten by 2 points. Team was: C. Boyce, R O’Dell. A. O’Sullivan, B. Geary, S. O’Sullivan, R. Sheehan, C. Burke, S. Browne, J. Lenihan, O. Stokes. D.J. Cussen and D O’ Connell, D. Fealy and J. Duggan.

Results of the 343rd draw took place on June 17th, in the Green Bar, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 11, 16, 19, 27 there was no winner of the jackpot was at €5,200 and there also was one winner of Match three at €100 and that was Tom O’Brien, Broadford and the two lucky dips of €50 each were: Jim Madigan, Dromcollogher and Mary Ryan, Dromcollogher, and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday June 24th, in Neenan’s Bar, Broadford and the Jackpot is going up to €5,300 and the match three is staying at €100.
