Limerick Senior / U20 Football:

Best wishes to Darragh Treacy and Sean McSweeney and the Limerick senior football panel who make the journey up to the Midlands this Saturday evening when the face off against Westmeath in Cusack Park, Mullingar in Round 2 of the Qualifiers. Limerick will undoubtedly be looking to reignite their attacking form which saw them overcome Tipperary in the Munster Quarter Final last month before suffering a heavy defeat to Cork in the semi-final. Both sides had contrasting National League campaigns with Westmeath securing promotion to Division two following an excellent campaign while Limerick while competitive in all their games only managed to win their opening two games in Division 4. Elsewhere, John Hayes, Noel Callanan and Kevin Guina were part of the Limerick u20 team who took on Westmeath last Saturday in the All Ireland U20 league. Unfortunately, Limerick came away with a 1.19 to 1.11 defeat on the day

Munster Senior Hurling Championship Final:

Following completion of the group phase and having secured comprehensive victories over Waterford and Clare, Limerick have advanced to the 2019 Munster Senior Hurling Championship final where Tipperary await. Limerick’s last Munster final win was back in 2013 where they overcame Cork in a historic day in the Gaelic Grounds. Both sides met this past week with the Premier County coming away with the spoils and no doubt Limerick will have to up their performance a number of decibels if they want to add the Munster Championship to their All Ireland and National League titles. Such is the demand for tickets for this game given Limerick’s recent success stand tickets for the encounter in the Gaelic Grounds will only be allocated to clubs while it will be possible to purchases terrace tickets at local SuperValue and Centra stores and also online at www.gaa.ie. Given the level of interest, unfortunately demand will exceed supply and we will be only is a position to provide tickets to paid up club members and members of the club Limerick draw. Furthermore, there will be very few juvenile stand tickets available for the game. Any club members who wish to put their name forward for tickets are asked to do so by this evening to Ivan Neary 0876577541 or David Woulfe 0862205572
