John Kiely expects Limerick to "learn an awful lot" from yesterday's defeat to Tipperary as they prepare for their Munster SHC final rematch on Sunday, June 30.

The All-Ireland champions were second best at Semple Stadium, but Kiely feels it could be a blessing in disguise as they seek to win their third major trophy in 10 months.

"We learned an awful lot today," the Limerick manager told RTÉ.

"It was a really valuable game from our perspective. We learned an awful lot from it and we’ll take those learnings into the next two weeks and hopefully we can improve on our performance in the final.

"You’d like to win more than the two games out of the four (in the Munster SHC round-robin series). But at least we put ourselves in a position today where we could have pushed on at certain times. We know we are at. We are in the final. We are going to go for it now in the next two weeks.

"We have two weeks to get ready. We’ll take a day or two now to recharge and get back at it later in the week and go again."
