U12 football notes

On Thursday night last our u12 footballers travelled to Newcastle to take on the home team. We had a panel of 17 players on the night with Sammy absent due to an eye injury we wish him a speedy recovery. Before the game the management team decided to rejig the team a bit. From the throw in the boys seem to settle in nicely to the task at hand. They started to move the ball through the lines and then picking off a few nice scores. By the end of the first quarter we were all square. After the restart of the second quarter our boys upped the anti- started to win more possession of the ball were creating more chances, by the end of the second quarter our boys were leading by two points. We were then into the third and final quarter with all our subs been introduced all our boys continued to work hard finished the game very strong. The boys got a deserved win against a gallant Newcastle West team. Thanks to our referee John McGrath who was very efficient.
