Kildimo/Pallaskenry club notes

May 20, 2019

LIMERICK SENIOR HURLERS: There was disappointment for the Limerick senior hurlers who were defeated by Cork in their first game of the Munster Hurling Championship. Our own Kyle Hayes played the full 70 minutes and hit a score from play, while Ruairí Maher was among the backroom team. We’d like to wish Kyle, Ruairí and the rest of the Limerick team the very best of luck ahead of their next outing in Waterford on 2 June and for the rest of the year!

PRIMARY GAME: Congratulations to club members Robert O’Farrell and Sean Kavanagh who featured in the Primary Game at half-time in the Munster Hurling Championship match between Cork and Clare.

JUNIOR A HURLING LEAGUE: Kildimo/Pallaskenry 0-21 Mungret 2-15. Our junior hurlers were highly unfortunate not to claim the two points and keep their hopes of making the knockout stages of the City Junior A Hurling League, as they played out a cracker against Mungret. There was some excellent scoretaking and we led for long periods, but a number of late frees for Mungret saw them claim a draw. Unfortunately, this means this is the end of the road in the league for our junior hurlers but they have acquitted themselves very well in the first year back competing in this competition for a number of years. It has given us a lot of hope for Championship and we’d like to wish all players and management the very best of luck ahead of the Championship!

ALL-COUNTY HURLING LEAGUE: Kildimo/Pallaskenry 2-13 Blackrock 4-18. Missing quite a few players for various reasons, our Premier Intermediate hurlers fell to Blackrock

REGISTRATION: The deadline for registration has now passed; anybody who has not registered or paid, please do so as soon as possible as unregistered players are ineligible to take the field or to train with the club.

CLUB LIMERICK DRAW: Sadly, there was no club winner in the first Club Limerick draw of the year. However, there is no better way to support both and show our players you’re right behind them all the way. Kildimo Pallaskenry GAA is very fortunate to have a number of players involved with county teams in both hurling and football across a number of grades. Join the CLUB Limerick Draw online or with any club committee member. Support your club and county teams!
