March 22, 2019

LIT set a Guinness World Record for the most nationalities ever to play in a hurling match.

LIT set a Guinness World Record yesterday for the most nationalities ever to play in a hurling match.

Over 100 players from 31 different countries took part in the historic game at LIT's GAA grounds in Limerick. The event was organised by students of the BA in Business Studies with Sports Management as part of their studies.

The record was set when 30 players from 30 different nationalities played more than 10 minutes of hurling each, thus meeting the record's requirement.
