ADRSC Lip Sync

This Saturday evening see the return of the Lip Sync Legends following the resounding success of the 2017 event where our wonderful acts thrilled a packed house on two nights. Saturday nights event once again promises to be a wonderful night’s entertainment as our acts finally put their weeks of hard work and preparation into practice. Once again, all funds raised from the event will go towards the new AstroTurf facility in Ardagh which is now near completion and is hoped to be available for use in the coming weeks. Due to high demand from the array of talent on display, tickets for Saturday nights show are selling fast but can still be purchased from the following local businesses, Ailish’s Hairdressers, Greaney’s Butchers, Neary’s Bar, (Ardagh), Moore’s Bar, Daybreak (Carrigkerry) and O’ Connor’s Texaco (Churchtown, Newcastlewest). Tickets for the event are €20 and we would encourage you all to get your tickets fast as you will be treated to a wonderful night’s entertainment. We look forward to seeing you all in the Devon Inn this Saturday.

West Senior Football Championship Final:

The 2018 West Senior Football Championship final pairing St. Kieran’s and Newcastlewest has been provisionally fixed for Saturday November 17 at 3.30 in Fr. Casey’s GAA Club Abbeyfeale.

National School Visit:

Many thanks to the members of the Limerick senior hurling panel who gave up their free time yesterday to pay a special visit too our local primary schools with the Liam McCarthy Cup following their All Ireland final victory over Galway. This is the second time in recent weeks that Liam McCarthy has visited the area and it was great to see so many of our younger players get the opportunity to hold the cup and meet their heroes. In addition, St. Kieran’s GAA club would like to congratulate all of the Limerick players who were nominated for All Stars last week following their heroics during the 2018 campaign and pay a special tribute Sean Finn, Richie English, Declan Hannon, Dan Morrissey, Cian Lynch and Graham Mulcahy who received All Star awards. Furthermore, we would also like to congratulate Cian Lynch and Kyle Hayes who received Hurler of the Year and Younger Hurler of the year recognition following their outstanding performances in the green and white during the summer. Also, the heartiest of congratulations to Leonard Enright, Patrickswell who was inducted into the Hall of Fame on Friday evening at the All-Star awards following a stellar career with Limerick and his native Patrickswell and we extend our condolence to the Enright family following his untimely death this past weekend.

West U21 Football Championship:

The u21 footballers are provisionally fixed to play their west semi-final next Wednesday November 14. At this moment in time group one has not been completed due to a backlog of games but based on the current standing’s we would be playing Athea/Mountcollins in the semi final while Shannon Gaels

and St. Senan’s would meet in the other semi-finals. It is hoped that the remaining games in group one will be played this coming week and we will have details of our fixture in next week’s edition and also on our social media pages in the coming days.
