Galbally club notes

August 13, 2018

This weekend is an important weekend for Galbally GAA club in the context of the Limerick Senior Hurling Manager John Kiely being a member of our club. Having held a number of positions in the Galbally GAA boardroom and at team management level, along with a distinguished career as a player, he has given great service. It goes without saying that there is a huge amount of good will towards him from the club and wider community. It is important to wish him well while being conscious of not being over-excessive in our tributes ahead of a very important game. Kieran Hickey is also involved in the setup and again has served the club well on the field as a player and off the field at underage team management level. Win, lose or draw on Sunday, both are proud Galbally men and will play major parts in the club in future years, while the experience gained at this level will benefit Galbally GAA in years to come. They have our unequivocal support and hopefully they will win the match on Sunday.
