This was a very tight game with two goals for Dromcollogher/ Broadford coming from Kevin Noonan and Micheál Brosnan both in the first of the game and this is our fourth game in this competition with three wins from four, wins against St. Kieran's, Ballysteen and Na Pairsaigh and we lost to Newcastle West and games left to play against Monaleen, Rathkeale and St. Patrick's.

In the first half we scored 2-7 to 2-4 with two goals coming from Kevin Noonan and Micheál Brosnan and the points coming from Derry McCarthy 3 points, Kevin Noonan 3 points, Damien Lacey a point. In the second half we scored 0-7 to 0-5 and these points came from Derry McCarthy 4 points, Micheál Brosnan 2 points and Kevin Noonan a point.

U12's: 

Our U12's had a busy week.  They played Newcastle West in Hurling last Tuesday and all played well in a very good game.  They then played Adare in football on Thursday in a very exciting game with only a point separating the sides at the end. Monday night saw them taking on Milford away.  Another great display from both sides. Our next U12 match is Hurling against Croagh on Friday evening in Dromcollogher at 6.45.

Congratulations to Broadford National School on winning the Division 2 Final in Rathkeale last Friday night under Captain Ronan O'Sullivan and Coach Mike Boyce. Final score was Broadford N.S. 2 :09, Askeaton N.S.  2 :08 after two periods of extra time.

Results of the 295th draw took place on Tuesday June 5th, in The Green Bar, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 13, 14, 22, 26 there was no winner of the jackpot at €4,300 and there was also was one winner of match three at €100 and that was Pat and Breda Noonan, Dromcollogher and the two lucky dips of €50 each and they were: Maura Meaney, Dromcollogher, and Sarah Madigan, Dromcollogher and the next draw took place on Monday night June 5th, in the Green Bar, Dromcollogher, at 10.15pm sharp, the jackpot was at €4,400 (win or share) and the match three stayed at €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

Results of the 296th draw took place on Monday June 11th, in Begley's Bar, Broadford and the numbers drawn were: 3, 9, 18, 29 there was no winner of the jackpot at €4,400 and there was also was one winner of match three  at €100 and that was Aoife Greaney, Broadford and the two lucky dips of €50 each and they were: Damien Lacey, Broadford, and Biddy O'Connor, Broadford and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday night June 18th, in the Corner House, Dromcollogher, at 10.15pm sharp, the jackpot going up to €4,500 (win or share) and the match three staying at €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

Non-Stop GAA Club Draw

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA club are holding our annual 300 Club draw in June July and August.  Draw will take place on the second Sunday of each month. €1,000 in prizes each month. It's €20 a month or 3 draws for €50. Promoters will be out selling over the next few weeks. Your support would be very much appreciated.

Munster Senior Hurling Championship Tickets

Tickets for Muster Hurling Championship are available in Meaney's Centra, Dromcollogher, this weekends fixture Limerick VS Waterford, in Gaelic Grounds, Limerick, and Tipperary VS Clare, in Semple Stadium, Thurles, both games on this coming Sunday June 10th, both games at 2pm, tickets are priced at pre-purchase adult stand €20, pre-purchase adult terrace €15, Juvenile all areas €5, match day Adult Stand at €25, Match day adult terrace at €20.
