St Patricks club notes

Annual Hurling Street League:

A hugely enjoyable  day of hurling at the our annual street league in Rhebogue on Saturday. Great skills on display and lots of fun in the sun. Thanks to  JJ Kenneally and The Village Inn for sponsoring the tournament and all who helped organise.Most importantly a big well  done to our future stars who were brilliant  all day. Congratulations  to the young hurlers who took part in the Niall Cross cup and the JJ Kenneally shield.

 

Limerick Hurling Stars:

Well done to Gearoid, Diarmuid and Jamie on a great day for St Patrick's and a great day for Limerick. Playing with the Primary game,minor and senior teams and all making big contributions.

 

City Junior  Football League Final:

St Patrick's  3 7 Mungret 0 13. 

Mungret led 0 7 to 1 2 at half time, Cyril Hamilton got our goal and Evan O Connor from play and a free from Niall Benson  accounted for the St Patrick's scores.St Patrick's  had a dream start to the second half when Arron Rice goaled followed by 4 points from David Crowe ,Arron Rice again Adam Guerin and Evan O Connor to put St Patricks ahead 2 6 to 8pts.

Mungret then hit a purple patch and scored five points in a row to lead 0 13 to  2 6 with only minutes remaining. St Patricks were then reduced to fourteen men and looked up against it, but in a great  move following a turnover Brendan  Mullins goaled and then an Alan Rossiter  point directly after had St Patrick's victorious by a margin of three points over a gallant Mungret Side.After the game Sean Bourke of the City board presented Captain Niall Benson  with the City league cup.

Gaelic Grounds Bucket Collection:

Many Thanks to all who helped and supported our bucket collection at the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday at the Limerick v Waterford game.The collection will be of great help to all our future stars and the continued development of the club.
