Na Piarsaigh opened the defence of their Limerick SHC crown with an impressive eight point victory over Doon today.
The Gaelic Grounds scoreboard read Na Piarsaigh 4-15, Doon 1-16 at the referee's final whistle.
With new manager Paul Beary patrolling the sideline, Conor Boylan netted the only goal of the first-half and the defeated All-Ireland finalists enjoyed a 1-9 to 0-10 cushion at the break.
They made the most of the wind advantage at their backs in the second-half and were rewarded with goals from Shane Dowling, Ronan Lynch and Adrian Breen.
Having just returned to the county panel following a broken finger, Darragh O'Donovan raised a green flag for Doon via a 25m free.
