Club Membership

Fr. Caseys GAA Club Membership Fees for the 2018 season are now due. Membership for adult playing and non-playing members is €50 and €30 for students. Any member who purchases a yearly subscription to the Club Limerick Draw or the Fr. Caseys Spin & Win Draw (€100 each) will get free Club Membership for the 2018 season. It is extremely important that all club players pay these fees to ensure they are registered for access to the GAA Injury Benefit Fund in case of injury.

 

Mouth-Guards:

Premium mouth-guards for all age groups are available to purchase from Dentist Maurice Lyons, Bridge St., Abbeyfeale. Please contact 068-31293 for further details.

 

Club Constitution

Fr. Caseys GAA are currently proposing to update its existing club constitution and would like all our club members to review the proposal before ratification. The newly proposed club constitution is available to view on our club website www.frcaseysgaa.ie under the Club Documentation section.

 

Notice of EGM

An EGM will be held in Fr Casey's clubhouse on 7th of March at 7pm to adopt the new Constitution for the club.

 

Complex Bookings

Fr. Caseys GAA Indoor Complex has undergone a major renovation over the past months and has reopened for public use since Monday January 15th. The upgrades include the installation of a brand-new heating system, new doors & windows, improved ladies & gent's showers as well as freshly painted walls. To book a time slot contact the club office on 068-31799 from 9am-4pm Monday to Friday or call to the complex to speak to one of the caretakers in person. The indoor complex is available for booking Monday to Sunday.

 

West Board Awards

Fr. Caseys GAA would like to congratulate Pa O'Connor who was recently awarded West Limerick Junior A Footballer of the year. Pa had a fantastic year with our Junior team who exceeded all expectations by winning 4 of the 5 cups on offer, the highlight being Fr. Caseys Junior A Championship win. Pa will receive his award this coming Friday night, February 23rd in the Rathkeale House Hotel

 

2018 Fixtures

The master fixtures for 2018 have been released in the past week by the Limerick County Board. In the County Senior Football Championship Fr. Caseys will compete in Group 2 along with Oola, Newcastle West, St. Patricks, St. Kierans and Rathkeale. The top three teams will enter the knockout stages with the bottom team entering the relegation final. This year for the first time the Junior A Championship will be played on an All County basis. Fr. Caseys have been drawn in Group 2 along with Pallasgreen, Bruree, Monagea and Oola. The top three teams will enter the knockout stages with the bottom team entering the relegation semi-final. In the West Senior Football Championship Fr. Caseys will play county champions Adare in the opening round while in the West Intermediate Championship Fr. Caseys will play Athea in the quarter finals. The first competitive games for our Senior and Junior teams will begin on the first weekend of March in the County League with our Seniors playing St. Senans at home while our Juniors travel to play Bruff. GAA Clubhouse

Fr. Caseys GAA Clubhouse is available for bookings and is an ideal venue for community fitness initiatives, pilates, yoga, social gatherings, group meetings, dance and music lessons, birthday parties, christenings, anniversaries, etc. With a spacious dancefloor, it can facilitate small and large groups (max 250 people). Club Limerick Draw 

The Club Limerick Draw will resume again at the end of March. There will be 10 monthly draws with a top cash prize of €12,000 each month and a Star Prize of a Car worth €25,000 in the December draw. In total there will be 30 cash prizes on offer each month. The Club Limerick Draw is one of the main sources of revenue for our local club with 50% of all entry fees being returned to the club, the remaining money going towards the development of our county teams. We would strongly encourage all club members and supporters to sign up for the coming year. Entry to the draw is just €10 per month or €100 annually. All those who enter the draw with a €100 up-front payment will get free Club Membership for the 2018 season. Spin & Win Draw

Results of the Spin and Win for Monday 19th of February will be available on Facebook. The current jackpot is €2900. The next Spin and Win Draw will be held on Monday February 26th in the GAA Clubhouse at 9pm. Please note that as an alternative to purchasing the weekly tickets, you can also purchase a yearly ticket for a once off €100 payment or you can also setup a direct debit of €8.33 a month. How do you purchase a yearly ticket? Simply contact any committee member and they will gladly assist. The three players spinning the wheel Monday 19th of February are as follows:

41 Card Game

The weekly 41 Card game continues every Friday night in the GAA Clubhouse. A great night of entertainment is guaranteed and with door and raffle prizes also on offer you have plenty of chances to win. The card game starts at 9pm sharp with both regular and new faces more than welcome. The winners from last week (Feb 16th) are as follows:

Clonmel Coursing

Congratulations from all at Fr.Caseys to Mark, Tom and all the Nolan family (See photo) on their brilliant win in Clonmel last week with Silent Whisper. Mark is a member of our U14 panel and Tom is a mentor on the same team. Congrats also to the Curtin family in tournafulla who bred Dicks Bimbo to win the champion bitch stake in Clonmel.
