U14 Hurling Division 2 Shield Semi-Final
On Tuesday night last our U14 Hurlers took near neighbours Killeedy in the County Shield Semi-Final, this game was played in Raheenagh referee on the night was Jason O' Mahony Kildimo. This was the first night since July that we could pick from a full panel. This game was a very close encounter in the first half with Killeedy getting in the first point, Dromcollogher/ Broadford then equalised, Killeedy came back again and scored a goal, we had to battle very hard to try to get on top before half time, we then scored a goal and a point before the break to leave the score at half time Drom/Broadford 1-2 to Killeedy 1-1. Before the start of the second half we re-jigged our team around a small bit and introduced a sub, they really sparked to life in the second half after Killeedy scored the first and only goal in the second half. Our forwards and midfielders were now on top by scoring a tally of 4-9 to a goal in the second half. This was a great team performance; the final score of the game was Dromcollogher/ Broadford 5-11 to Killeedy 2-02. We now play in the County Shield final against Caherline and we are awaiting the fixture of the U14 County Football Championship Semi-Final against Claughaun, keep up the good work by attending the training sessions if ye have any exceptions of bringing back some silverware.
U13 Hurling Division 2A Round 1
On Wednesday night last our U13 Hurlers played their first match against Granagh/ Ballingarry in Ballingarry. We started the game well, contesting every ball we opened the scoring by getting a point, not long after Granagh/ Ballingarry were back on level terms. Our boys upped the tempo more and by half time we were winning by a score of Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-3 to Granagh/ Ballingarry 0-1. We started the second half brightly by notching up a few scores, we were then awarded a penalty where we stuck it in the back of the net that then put the game out of Granagh/ Ballingarry reach, and this was a great team effort and all the subs that came on. The final score in the game was; Dromcollogher/ Broadford 4-5 to
Granagh/ Ballingarry 0-1. Next up for the U13 Hurlers is a home game against Templeglantine.
Best of Luck
