"Dudgale doesn't do moral victories" Joke of the week, looked like managment had their holidays booked and had no interest in going any further They looked like they did not BELIEVE in their team there was obvious options there for the managment but they looked like they were as far as they could be bothered going. What a Shame !

Sickened after Saturday. Showed great heart. I don't know when I was last as impressed with a Leitrim first half performance at half time (bar the goal)and it was class to see the standing ovation in the stand at half time. Simply refused to lie down and we were not afraid to have a pop at a few long range points. We were cooking on gas until they scored that goal. I thought McCran was going to fist that high ball all the way to Gortletteragh and I'm sure he wished he had opted for that now. Hindsight, etc but then again he came out to claim a similiar ball earlier in the game and made a great catch under pressure from full forward. The various reports missed that.
I think we mainly lost it in the middle. We were pretty good shooting and fitness wise.....and definately heart and spirit in abundance. Absolutly no disrespect to the lads in the middle but they just wern't as tall or strong as those Laois lads. I think it was 9...he was cleaning up their kickouts....and ours more worringly. Also their 2nd half 4points sapped it out of us...Laois experience of big games allowed them to keep their cool.
McCrann should have opted for more short kick outs as that seemed to be the only way we were sure of posession. They left Beck idle I dont know how mant times and we then moved the ball up the middle pretty slick. McCrann seemed to get caught in 2minds a couple of times.
Very harshly penalised for the last free..He did well to cut off that pass which would have lead to a goal chance, I think it was for a pick up outside small area but it could just have easly been let go as ball was slightly hopping!
Anyways, good night out afterwards. The Laois lads were worried. All sound bar one, who said to me as I walked in "sorry for your troubles". Do yerselves a favour and leave him at home the next time although I suspect a lad like him travels on his own. Good luck to laois in next round... Looking forward to league with renewed confidence and of coarse an Úl Mór after. LIATROIM ABÚ

I was very proud to be a Leitrim supporter over the last two weekends. I thought the players restored faith and pride to thier jersies. It was also great to see the people of Leitrim giving them fantastic vocal support. From what I have seen George and Barney have made great progress, however I do feel they could do with bringing in a selector as another opinion I'm sure would help.

good physical game conlon mulligan cox stood out from the rest joint men of the match in my opinion twas a bad thing to do to walk on emylns ankle after fouling him but it made little or no difference to mulligan who got up and kicked several frees home, and such a ball to cox in the second half couldnt have measured it better meself.
as for loosing by 2 points at home to a div2 team after beating a div3 team at home the week before well done the all involved and remember the league around the corner and we are heading for div3 all we need to do is sort out midfield if anybody knows of 2 lads about 6foot 4 fairly fit in their early to mid 20s?
the last time we were this far on in a championship was july 1994 when we beat mayo on this very day in doctor hyde park roscommon to win the connacht final.
next year id set my hopes on a connacht final and possibly a win against sligo or mayo
