Goals were the key as Longford bounced back from their opening round defeat with a fourteen point (3-12 to 0-7) win over Leitrim at Glennon Bros, Pearse Park.
Goals from John Newman, Joe O'Brien and Karl Murray put the hosts 3-6 to 0-3 infront at the break.
Leitrim, who had Dave McGovern dismissed, never gave up. Clement Cunniffe found the range from placed balls while Michael Dolan and Paddy Clancy also chipped in with points. However, the concession of three goals proved fatal to the visitors.
At Brewster Park, Enniskillen, the meeting of Fermanagh and Warwickshire ended in a draw (0-15 to 1-12).
The visitors led by two (1-5 to 0-6) at the interval. There goal coming on 30 minutes courtesy of Seán Hennessy.
It was nip and tuck for the majority of the second half. Points from Ryan Bogue and JP Garry helped cut the deficit for Fermanagh.
It looked like Fermanagh would hold on for a one point victory. However, John Mitchel's club man Hennessy sent over a late equaliser.
