Mohill club notes

November 25, 2019

Recent Death

The club extend deepest sympathy to the family of Shaun Mayock on the untimely death of his sister Ita O Malley last week. Shaun has been a working member of Bórd na nÓg for many years and his two young sons Tomás and Shane are rising stars at football and in Scór na nÓg. May she rest in peace.

Alannah McGuinness

Congratulations to Alannah McGuinness on being awarded Leitrim Young Sport star of the year at the Annual function in Lough Rynn Castle on Saturday last. Alannah has made giant strides in sprinting, nationally and internationally during 2019. She is a credit to herself, her family and her coaches John Connolly and Mary O Donnell. The late Mae Beirne who was involved in her formative years with Mohill Athletic Club would have been very proud of Alannah, as we all are in Mohill.

Ciaran McIntyre

Mohill GAA send condolences to the family of Ciaran McIntyre who died recently in England. He was one of a great Mohill footballing family, he and his brothers Patsy and Michael played for Mohill in the fifties and sixties and his father Michael was President of Connacht Council in the forties. Ar dheis Dé fo raibh sé.
