CHAMPIONSHIP:

 

We secured a win over Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher on Saturday evening in Drumshanbo 1-17 to 0-11. We wish Dermot Harkin from Glenfarne/Kilty a speedy recovery on his knee injury that he received during the game. Our next game is against Bornacoola on Saturday 10th in Ballinamore at 5:30pm. Hard luck to our juniors who lost to St Mary's on Sunday last. Please come out and support the teams.

 

St JOSEPH’S BOYS:

Our U17's had a comfortable victory over Fenagh in Carrigallen on Monday evening last. This week they play Annaduff and a win here will leave them in a semi-final due to be played on Monday 12th August.

 

Our U13's had a busy week with two games and also taking part in the Cul Camps. On Tuesday evening they played Mohill in Mohill and came away with a win and on Friday evening they played Drumkeerin in Carrigallen and after a very exciting tight game the boys recorded another victory. Next up is Allen Gaels on Thursday evening.

 

Our U9's and U11's took part in the area festival tournament during the week.

 

On Friday evening Eastern Gaels U14 team take on Southern Gaels in the final of this competition which will be played before the Senior Championship match in Cloone at 6:30pm.

 

 

CUL CAMP:

Cul Camps took place in Aughavas during the week with record numbers attending and a fun filled week of football and games was enjoyed by all. Well done to Enda Lyons and his team of coaches. Check out the photos by Terry on our Aughavas Facebook page

 

LOTTO:

Our next draw will be run by Dan & Noel’s Team which will be held in “The Dugout” on Saturday 10th August. Jackpot now stands at €14,000. Lotto envelopes €2 each or three envelopes for €5 – if you’re not in you can’t win.

 

 

SYMPATHY:

Aughavas GAA would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the Heslin family, Druminbawn on the death of their Aunt Alice Heslin, England and also to the family of Mary Charles formerly of Aughalough who died in Seattle. May they rest in peace.
