Recent Bereavements

We extend deepest sympathy to the Beck and Gormley family on the death last week of Rose Gormley. Grandmother of senior captain Daniel Beck, mother of great fundraiser Valerie her great-grand-children are now playing underage for the club. We also commiserate with Peter Carroll on the death of his uncle John P Carroll from Gortletteragh last week. The club also send condolences to the Ballinamore GAA Club on the sudden passing of Tommy(Spike) McCormack. May they rest in peace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh said

Senior Championship

Well done to Mohill Seniors on winning the second round of the championship. Next up is Glencar Manor in Pairc Seán on Saturday at 7pm. Usual support appreciated.

Junior A Championship

Manor were too strong for our juniors on Sunday last but it was great to be able to field a team following a long list of injuries in the last few weeks. We wish a speedy recovery to Keith Keegan and Shane McGowan who picked up serious injuries in games lately.

Under 17

These young men are doing well in the championship and should find themselves in the final shake-up. They played an understrength St Brigids last week and the scorers were: A McCrann 1-8, K Curran 1-2, N McNabola 1-0, S Bohan 0-3, D Duignan 0-2, C Quinn 0-1, C Mulligan 0-1, C Keegan 0-1, B Donohue 0-1, L Ellis 0-1.

Under 13

The U 13s played a very strong St Joseph’s last week and although not winning they ran up a respectable score in the end. Scorers were: E Kilrane 0-6, T Mayock 0-5, D Beirne 1-1, K McCaffrey 0-3, J Macklin 0-2, C Walpole 0-1, D Brennan 0-1.

Mohill Ladies

This very young team gave a great performance against Aughawillan on Sunday last in the Intermediate Championship and only two points separated the teams in the end. Congrats to Kiara Keegan who won the world GAA World Cup with Australasia in Croke Park on Friday last and lined out with Mohill on Sunday. The coach with the victorious Australasia Ladies team was our own Chris Higgins who lined out for Mohill before he emigrated to Adelaide. Nice to see Chris and his fiancé around Mohill at present.
