Kyle GAA was in mourning last week at the passing of the club president and former Kyle and Laois hurler Jack Fitzpatrick on Sunday, May 15. Jack was one of the all time Kyle greats and was part of the victorious Kyle senior team of 1951 which won the senior championship for the one and only time. Jack was also a member of the Laois squad that contested the All-Ireland final in 1949. Jack always kept a close interest in Kyle's affairs and will be sorely missed in the parish. We extend our sincerest sympathies to his family. May he rest in peace.
