Esteemed Kilkenny hurling coach Br Damien Brennan has passed away.
The Laois native, who managed the Black & Amber to the 2003 All-Ireland MHC, was highly regarded as an inspirational coach within Kilkenny. He coached many college teams and was physio and school principal at Colaiste Eamann Ris in Callan.
Henry Shefflin and Jackie Tyrrell are just two Cats legends who spoke extensively about the huge influence Brother Damien had on their careers.
Kilkenny GAA took to Twitter to say they were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of their adopted son.
