Video 'first' for LGFA

'Scores Assistant' and Hawk-Eye will help assist referees in the TG4 All Ireland Championships.
Video footage will be used for the first time in the upcoming TG4 All Ireland Championship to help referees assess scoring incidents.
LGFA President Marie Hickey explains here how a new 'Scores Assistant' and Hawk-Eye will be used.
The Assistant will sit in a TG4 production van at all televised games and will have the benefit of all video angles to help judge if a score has taken place or not.
'We've trialled it in the League and it has worked well. It looks like it will be something for the future', says Hickey.
