Two-time All Star Gemma Begley played for Tyrone for sixteen long years before finally winning an All Ireland medal on Sunday in Croke Park.
All Ireland Final defeats in 2010 and 2017 meant that victory over Meath in the TG4 All Ireland Intermediate Final was third time lucky with a largely young, talented panel.
‘I said to Gerry (Moane, Tyrone manager) straight after the final whistle that that should just be the start of it’, says Begley who will consider her own future in the next few weeks.
