RTE to air documentary on Dublin ladies' All-Ireland triumph

November 22, 2017

RTE One is set to air a documentary following to Dublin ladies' All-Ireland SFC success on Monday night at 9.35pm.

'Blues Sisters' is the compelling inside story behind the Dublin team's quest to win the All Ireland final this past September.

Loosehorse's cameras were given access to all areas - from gruelling training sessions, to dressing-downs in the dressing room and all of the tactical team talks in between, to give the viewers a unique behind-the-scenes insight into what it takes to make a team the best in the country.

The documentary follows the ladies' journey throughout the entire summer, from their Leinster semi-final win to their day of reckoning in Croke Park.

With a new manager, Mick Bohan, by their side and a string of devastating defeats in recent years, both the team and management started the season with a point to prove and we follow the ups and downs of this journey along the way.

The audience gets a chance to see the players beyond the blue as the programme offers a window into their lives: the dedication that it takes to be a county player and what drives them to sacrifice so much of their personal lives for the love of the game.

Pat Comer, director of A Year 'Til Sunday, once again captures the journey of a team on their way to win the ultimate goal. For more information contact [email protected]
