Ballyhale Shamrocks captain Michael Fennelly has suggested that he may not be ready to hang up his hurl just yet.

It was widely considered that following a glittering career that the eight-time All-Ireland SHC winner would call time and focus on his fledgling management career which sees him take charge of Offaly senior hurlers this year.

However, when speaking to the Kilkenny People, the 2011 Hurler of the Year states that he may line out for his club once again.

“We will see over the next couple of months how things go,” said Fennelly. “The body is not too bad. I got through the final and I felt good after it for the first time in ages.

“It is not too bad. I will be close to 36 next season. That scares me a small bit.”
