Erin's Own are the first team through to the Kilkenny SHC semi-finals after holding on for a 1-8 to 1-6 victory over Dicksboro at a rain-lashed Nowlan Park this evening.

The Castlecomer outfit led by 0-7 to 0-2 at half-time and extended their advantage to 1-8 to 0-4 when Conor Fogarty netted. But Dicksboro dominated the last 10 minutes as points from Shane Stapleton and a goal from Bill Sheehan cut the gap to two. Erin's Own eight points were shared equally between James Mullins and Michael Murphy.

The first of the televised quarter-finals at Nowlan Park failed to produce a winner as O'Loughlin Gaels and Mullinavat finished level on 0-12 apiece.

Mark Bergin posted 0-10, including 0-8 from frees, for O'Loughlin's who were also well served by man of the match Paddy Deegan. The sides were level on 0-9 apiece at the break with John Walsh finishing as Mullinavat's top scorer with 0-5, while Willie O’Dwyer and Adam Mansfield posted 0-2 each.

The replay will be played next weekend when the Ballyhale Shamrocks v Clara quarter-final, which was postponed today due to a tragedy in the Ballyhale club, is also expected to take place.
