Changes in the Kilkenny backroom team look set to continue as selector Derek Lyng is poised to become the county’s under-20 manager.

Lyng is set to step down from his role as selector and take over from DJ Carey as under-20 manager following the latter’s decision to step down a few weeks back.

The six-time All-Ireland winner will follow Michael Dempsey in leaving Brian Cody’s backroom team as major changes are set to be made.

Lyng has yet to be ratified in the position but that looks set to be done without any hassle over the coming weeks.
