Aaron Gillane celebrates with the Limerick fans

Limerick forward Aaron Gillane is adamant that they are fully focused on the All-Ireland SHC semi-final, regardless of who they may face.

The defending All-Ireland champions will look on with a keen interest this weekend as the SHC quarterfinals take place with Cork meeting Kilkenny and Laois facing Tipperary.

The Shannonsiders can’t face Tipp if they get through, but they could meet either of the other three teams still remaining.

Gillane is primed for a titanic battle regardless of who the opposition and he admitted to the Limerick Leader that they will all be given the same respect.

“It doesn’t bother me to be honest – I am just happy we have got this far. Whoever we get, hopefully we can topple them, but we won’t be looking too far forward,” said Gillane.

“When you set out at the start of the year with all the tough training, you are working so hard and the reward is to get to Croke Park.

“We have one foot there now and we want to push on and put in a good display for ourselves come July 27th. There is still loads to do – there is still a long time to go yet.”
